Gunstone's Bakery is a £79m turnover retail bakery site based in Dronfield, employing approximately 600 colleagues, and forms part of the Meals Division of 2 Sisters Food Group. About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Factory Trainer to join our Learning & Development team at Gunstone's Bakery. Working as part of a team of trainers, you will deliver a continuous programme of factory-based training focused on compliance, food safety, allergen awareness, and operational procedures. Training may be delivered one-to-one or in larger group settings across all site functions. You will play a key role in supporting new starters through structured induction and the Compulsory Training Route, maintaining accurate training matrices, and ensuring colleagues are competent, confident, and compliant. This role would suit someone currently working in a factory environment who is looking to move into training, or an experienced trainer keen to develop their knowledge within food manufacturing. There is genuine opportunity to grow and potentially progress within the L&D function. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging factory-based and classroom training covering compliance, food safety, allergen awareness, and operational procedures * Assess and verify competency, providing formal sign-off where required * Maintain accurate training matrices and records to ensure compliance * Support new starters through structured induction * Identify training needs and deliver refresher or development sessions as required * Respond to changing operational priorities and adapt training plans accordingly * Build strong working relationships with site managers and operational teams * Communicate training outcomes and development needs to relevant stakeholders * Ensure all products meet company and customer standards for food safety, quality, and product integrity About You You are passionate about training and motivated to help others succeed. You are confident presenting to groups and comfortable engaging colleagues at all levels across a busy factory environment. You may already have training experience, or you may come from a factory floor role and be ready to take the next step into a development-focused position. Either way, you bring energy, adaptability, and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. You are organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with the ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team of trainers.
