The key responsibilities of the role can be found below:
Job Purpose:
To improve school attendance and reduce persistent absence by working closely with students, families, and staff. The role supports early intervention strategies, promotes a culture of high attendance, and ensures compliance with statutory attendance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor daily attendance, follow up on absences, and maintain accurate attendance records.
2. Liaise with families to address attendance concerns and support early interventions.
3. Work with the Senior Leadership Team and external agencies to reduce persistent absenteeism.
4. Conduct home visits where necessary, ensuring appropriate safeguarding protocols.
5. Prepare reports and data analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
6. Support the school in complying with Hertfordshire County Council and DfE attendance policies.
