Our client is a well-established Groundworks subcontractor, delivering high-quality civil engineering and groundworks packages across the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager for a new site based in Guildford, Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of Groundworks on the project.
* Lead site teams, including foremen, engineers, and subcontractors
* Coordinate materials, equipment, labour, and logistics
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
* Monitor progress against programme and manage change as required
* Liaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers
* Oversee site documentation, reporting, and risk assessments
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing Groundworks or Civil Engineering projects
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proficient in construction software and Microsoft Office
* Willingness to travel and stay away as needed
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid preferred
