You’re part of something bigger here.”— Sarah, Support Worker at Lifeways Your Role as a Support Worker As a Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the people we support during overnight hours.
Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring and responding to individual needs throughout the night Supporting with personal care routines, where required Ensuring a calm and safe environment for restful sleep Recording and reporting any changes in health or behaviour Promoting independence and dignity in every interaction Supporting with morning routines and preparing for the day ahead Responding to emergencies and following established protocols Maintaining accurate documentation and handover notes You’ll be working with individuals who enjoy a range of activities—from baking and gardening to arts and crafts and community outings.
Your presence and care will help them feel secure and supported, even during quiet hours.
