Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary until July 2026
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early learning and development? An outstanding primary school in Morpeth is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic unqualified Early Years Assistant to join its warm and welcoming Early Years team.
Role Responsibilities
As an Early Years Assistant, you will:
• Support the Nursery or Reception Teacher with daily tasks and assessment activity.
• Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment for all children, including those who need additional support.
• Assist with daily routines that involve play, learning activities and personal care when needed.
• Contribute to a team that is focused on providing high quality education for young learners.

• Is caring, enthusiastic and committed to working with young children.
• Communicates well and works confidently with others.
• Has a genuine interest in early years education and child development.
• Is keen to learn and grow within a supportive school community guided by experienced education professionals.
