Your responsibilities will include:
1. Forming relationships with children to make them comfortable in their surroundings.
2. Providing an environment where children can learn through play and exploration.
3. Working as part of a team to deliver high standards of care and education.
4. Ensuring the preschool is a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors.
5. Having a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues.
6. Developing partnerships with parents and carers to enhance their involvement in their child's development.
7. Building partnerships with external agencies to support the development of the whole child.
8. Maintaining professionalism at all times, including confidentiality, reliability, punctuality, and appropriate behaviour.
9. Following instructions and guidance to support your development within the EYFS setting.
10. Taking responsibility for tasks delegated by the school leadership team.
11. Providing a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment indoors and outdoors at all times.
12. Ensuring the EYFS setting meets Ofsted requirements consistently.
13. Collaborating with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
14. Working according to EYFS policies and procedures, including child protection, incident response, and emergency procedures.
15. Properly maintaining records such as attendance registers, accident and incident books, and risk assessments.
16. Liaising with parents and carers, informing them about the nursery, curriculum, and children’s progress, and encouraging their involvement.
17. Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed, aligned with the preschool’s aims and objectives.
