About The Role
In this role, the IT Project Manager will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of IT initiatives that support the organisation's strategic goals. Responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, the role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and external vendors, the IT Project Manager will coordinate resources, manage risks, and oversee communications to ensure each project achieves its intended outcomes and delivers value to the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, for IT projects of various sizes and complexity.
* Lead delivery of business case development through to review with project sponsors
* Define the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones, and ensure they are aligned with the IT strategy and business needs.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and other project documentation.
* Coordinate and communicate with the project team, business stakeholders, IT Leadership, and external vendors on project activities, progress, issues, and risks.
* Monitor and control the project performance, quality, and deliverables, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Manage the project budget, resources, and contracts, and ensure compliance with the IT policies and standards.
* Conduct project reviews, lessons learned, and post-implementation audits, and document and share the project outcomes and best practices.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Project Manager who has a proven ability to deliver technology projects in complex environments. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of project management experience, along with strong knowledge of project methodologies, tools, and best practices. You will excel at building relationships and engaging stakeholders at all levels, with excellent communication and influencing skills. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, adaptable, and able to balance competing priorities while keeping projects on track. A background in IT, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential.
As projects may span multiple locations, the successful candidate should also be happy to travel to other ports within the group. If you are motivated to deliver impactful projects and can thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.
Skills & Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* At least 2 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a large and complex organization.
* Proven track record of delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organisation.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Full right to work in the UK
* Full UK driving licence
