Site Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Aberdeenshire Salary: £55,000 benefits Industry: FMCG / Food Manufacturing Employment: Full-time, Permanent About the Role Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer in Aberdeenshire, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong electrical expertise to join their engineering team.
Youll be responsible for ensuring machinery uptime, site reliability, and delivering engineering improvements across the facility.
Key Responsibilities Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the site.
Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and reliability initiatives.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with site health & safety policies, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.
Participate in on-call rota (if applicable).
Maintain accurate engineering records and asset histories.
Skills & Experience Required Strong electrical maintenance background (17th/18th Edition preferred).
Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similar high-speed production environment is essential.
Knowledge of PLCs, automated machinery, and modern production equipment.
Mechanical experience beneficial (e.g., Good understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.
Qualifications Recognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
Candidates on visas with less than two years remaining or without a clear route to extend without sponsorship cannot be accepted.
