 
        A vacancy will arise for a Cpl (RAFP) to serve as JNCO PROTECTIVE SECURITY (PS) SECTION at JSSU Digby on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of being not before 05 January 2026 (or later subject to candidate status). Role 1. As JNCO PS, you are responsible to OC JSSU(D) Sy through WO JSSU(D) Sy and the SNCO IC PS for the efficient operation and administration of the PS Section. RESPONSIBILITIES 2. As part of a Section of JNCO PS, collectively you are responsible for the following duties: a. Ensure that you remain fully conversant with the extant policy and regulations affecting PS matters. b. Undertake the duties of Secretary to the Unit Security Committee and BSyO meetings. Draft minutes are to be forwarded to the Chair within 4 working days following a meeting for approval prior to distribution. c. Maintenance of a register of Service and Civilian Security Annotated Posts. d. Undertaking investigations and security surveys and inspections as directed by OC JSSU(D) Sy, WO JSSU(D) Sy the SNCO PS and IAW current regulations and the guidelines outlined in the JSP 440. e. Ensuring that all anomalies are brought to the attention of the SNCO PS. f. Carrying out the bi-annual muster of security keys and combinations and the management of ILS systems. g. Issuing, as necessary, change reminders and documentation to users of security furniture. You are to inform the SNCO PS if a replacement combination setting is not received within one month of the change date. h. Providing advice on all aspects of security, including foreign travel, and where necessary providing the requisite briefings. l. Preparing and presenting Security Education briefings and material. j. Maintaining an adequate stock of PS related stationary. k. Maintaining all information boards within the PS Section. l. Ensuring the correct compilation of PS Unit Investigation Reports, and, where appropriate the prompt submission of all SIRFs, Initial Case Reports and, where necessary, Case Progress Reports. m. Actioning all amendments to JSPs, APs and manuals held by the PS Section. n. Maintaining in accordance with the extant regulations the register of computer disks used within the PS Section. o. Administration of all the files held in the PS Section in accordance with extant regulations. p. Submitting to the appropriate authority, applications for accreditation of computer systems required to process data classified OFFICIAL or higher. q. The vetting of all applications for new computer systems, on behalf of the ESyO & ITSO. r. Carrying out the accreditation process, on behalf of the ITSO, on all computer systems required to process OFFICIAL or non-Classified data. s. When detailed as Duty Investigator, your tour of duty will cover a 24-hour continuous period commencing at 0800 hours on Monday and concluding at 0759 hours on the following Monday. Consumption of alcohol is not permitted during this duty and personnel are to be in a position to return to Digby within 1 hour of callout. Duties are as follows: a. Provide telephone advice for any Security Incidents affecting JSSU(D). b. Attend JSSU(D) when necessary (within 1 hour), to assist with Security Incidents affecting the Security of JSSU(D). t. Undertake the duties of a STRAPSO, including read on and associated duties.
