Accounts Assistant - Full-Time- 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break) (P art-Time hours considered) Location: New Reflexions, Fitzroy Academy, Cruckton, Shrewsbury Salary: £27,000-29,000, depending on experience. We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work in our small, busy but friendly finance team in our Head office in Cruckton. Your role will be varied, including most aspects of the finance function in a growing forward thinking company; Sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash and some assistance when required to payroll processing. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant who : Key Responsibilities Uploading monthly sales invoices to the finance system Chasing outstanding debts and invoices Monthly occupancy reports for the Senior leadership team Monthly reconciliation reports Payment requests from suppliers Creating new supplier accounts Weekly cash transfers to our children’s homes Skills & Knowledge High standards of literacy and numeracy. Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) Professional Attributes We are looking for someone who is: Confidential, organised, flexible, and professional. A strong team player with excellent communication skills. Able to multi-task and prioritise effectively while remaining calm under pressure. Approachable with young people, understanding their needs and behaviours. Positive, reliable, and resilient, with a good sense of humour. You will need to be meticulously accurate, able to work on your own initiative, enjoy leaning and involvement, and able to manage your time to prioritise and meet deadlines. You should have a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. This role is ideal for someone who wants to progress in a finance career and have support from the Finance director and Management accountant.
