Commissioning Manager (Transformers) – Opportunity in Bedfordshire!
TGRC is thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Commissioning Manager specializing in transformers to lead projects in the vibrant area of Bedfordshire. This 12-month contract with a competitive day rate of £600 is ideal for someone with a profound understanding of energy grid or network projects and a desire to drive innovation in the energy sector.
About the Role
As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful commissioning of transformer systems, ensuring they meet all operational, technical, and safety standards. Your leadership will guide the commissioning processes from start to finish, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our energy projects.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership : Manage all aspects of transformer commissioning, including planning, execution, and closure. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Technical Oversight : Provide technical expertise in the commissioning of transformers, including testing, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Team Coordination : Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment to meet project goals.
Safety and Compliance : Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards throughout the commissioning process. Ensure all activities comply with legal and environmental regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy grid or network projects, with a strong focus on transformers.
Education : Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
Certifications : Up-to-date Health & Safety (H&S) tickets relevant to transformer commissioning.
Skills : Exceptional project management skills, excellent technical and problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership qualities.
