Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role:
The successful applicant for this position will join our EE integration team to work on various customer projects. The role also leads bring up and troubleshooting of product issues throughout the lifecycle; leads associated test verification and validation activities at the component and board levels, including development of testing equipment and execution of test cases. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, well versed in the state-of-the art, and capable of driving design and execution through all development stages.
Area of Responsibility
1. Lead end‑to‑end system integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS) across battery cells, modules, packs, and higher‑level systems.
2. Integrate BMS hardware and software with vehicle, inverter, PCS, EMS, charger, or grid interfaces.
3. Own BMS functional integration, including cell monitoring, balancing, thermal management, protection, diagnostics, and state estimation (SOC, SOH, SOP).
4. Define and manage BMS interface requirements with ECUs, power electronics, safety systems, and external controllers.
5. Ensure reliable communication using CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, Modbus, and custom protocols.
6. Lead system-level requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability related to BMS functions.
7. Support BMS algorithm integration, calibration, and validation activities.
8. Work closely with battery suppliers, BMS vendors, and system integrators to ensure hardware–software compatibility.
9. Working directly with the customer EE & High Voltage integration team and internal TTL engineers to understand current Integration & test requirements.
10. Ability to read/understand ECU schematic, identify HW-SW integration issues Work with system experts to understand system requirements and features to ensure coverage of testing meets expectations.
11. Experience in vehicle testing and vehicle integration at overall system level.
12. Reporting of issues and status of testing observed on vehicle with first-level test data and test sequence.
13. Strong understanding of electronic ECU's used in BEV battery electric vehicle and vehicle subsystems Discuss knowledge gaps and system requirements with system experts to enable thorough test coverage.
14. Support setup, commissioning and refinement of test system(s) and test automation.
15. Automation script design skills in MATLAB/{python/C
16. Experience in simulation/virtual methodologies and/or tools.
Knowledge / Experience
17. Strong hands‑on experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) integration.
18. Experience with battery cell, module, and pack architectures (Li‑ion preferred).
19. Proficiency in CAN-based systems, message definition, DBC files, and diagnostics.
20. Electrical, electronic, control systems or automotive engineering degree 2:1 or above or equivalent qualification or experience.
21. Previous experience of manual and automated test execution and development.
22. Familiarity with typical software and test development processes.
23. Familiarity with requirements capture and requirement toolsets to generate test cases to validate requirements.
24. Experience with ETAS INCA / Vector CAN ape Tool experience or equivalent data acquisition experience
25. Knowledge of automotive networks such as CAN, FlexRay, LIN, A2B, MOST etc.
26. Experience of DSPACE or NI HiL hardware and software.
27. Experience within the area of Requirements Modeling and Model Based System Engineering
28. Excellent analytical skills and RCA., Root Cause Anlaysis, virtual analysis tools
29. Should have good knowledge and trained in ISO 26262.
30. Experience in AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration.
