TQ needs you to join our team. Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate across Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia.
Due to our continued success and growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quarry Manager based across Central Scotland. The successful candidate should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the safety of our teams, ensuring best practice and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Deputise for the Quarry Manager and operate as 8.1c appointed person in line with Quarry Regulations where required.
* Train and develop the production team to the required levels of competence.
* Encourage TQ values and a positive culture through fair and consistent people management.
* Support with the maintenance of quality standards ensuring customer and business standards are met.
* Support with the supervision and management of the production team.
* Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to a high standard.
* Carry out additional Quarry Duties as required.
What we need from you
* At least 3 years experience managing and leading teams.
* Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
* Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
* Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
* A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.
* The successful candidate will hold full QR99 Reg 8.1d responsibilities and should have previous practical experience in all aspects of quarrying from extraction to restoration.
