We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Lecturer to work within Further Education colleges across the North East. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to support learners in developing their English skills in a supportive and engaging academic environment.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student progress, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for learners of varying abilities.
North East England
Applicants must be based in the North East due to the temporary nature of this role.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging English lessons (Functional Skills and/or GCSE)
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support learners in achieving academic progress
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
* Monitor and manage learner behaviour effectively
* Work collaboratively with college staff
* Provide feedback on student progress where required
* Deliver high-quality lessons, support student progress, and foster a positive learning atmosphere for learners of varying abilities
Qualifications
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Experience teaching English or Functional Skills within an FE or secondary setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to engage and motivate learners of different abilities
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and professional approach
* Ability to provide two recent references
