Machine Technician Injection Moulding – Shift Basis 4 on 6 off (Days / Nights)

We currently have an opportunity within our Injection Moulding team for a Machine Technician to join our Golborne UK base plant (WA3).
Purpose of Job / Mission: To ensure that the moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customers agreed specification, with a focus on minimising downtime and scrap levels.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good running order. Report defects to supervision and carry out remedial work as instructed within the technician\'s level of competence.
* Ensure product arriving at the packing station meets acceptable quality standards by performing regular quality checks (visual faults, weight, filling in relevant paperwork).
* Remove, clean, refit, realign, or adjust parts of moulding machines within the technician\'s competence (heads, tooling, blowpins, blades, and ancillary equipment).
* Maintain constant raw material supplies by changing over bins; report to supervision if a fresh bin is not available before a problem occurs at the machine.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness for the moulding machines, equipment, and immediate work area.
Skills / Experience
* Experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.
* Mechanical or Electrical engineering experience (relevant qualification preferred).
* Previous experience operating/running machinery with training provided on specific ALPLA machinery.
* Exposure to plastic manufacturing processes would be advantageous.
* Good communication skills.
