What you’ll be responsible for Coordinating a professional, efficient and confidential HR administration service Supporting recruitment activity end-to-end, including job packs, adverts, correspondence, interview scheduling and candidate communication Assisting with onboarding and pre-employment checks, including contracts and new starter paperwork using the organisation’s recruitment system Maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, leave, training, recruitment and payroll-related information Updating and maintaining the HR database/HRIS, producing reports and pulling data as required Collecting, analysing and reporting HR KPIs for monthly management reporting Supporting staff development administration and maintaining training records Assisting with payroll administration and follow-up actions, working to published deadlines Handling routine HR enquiries professionally and discreetly, escalating where appropriate Supporting safeguarding and safer recruitment HR compliance activity Providing wider administrative support across the HR team during peak periods What we’re looking for Previous experience in an HR setting or a strong administration background with transferable skills Confident using MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to present data clearly Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a discreet approach to confidential information Strong communication skills and a helpful, service-led mindset Comfortable working to deadlines, prioritising and managing a varied workload Level 2 literacy and numeracy essential A Level 3 qualification in HR, Business or a related subject is desirable, but not essential Important to know This is a fully site-based role due to the nature of the organisation, so you’ll need to live within reasonable commuting distance of the West Cumbria site.
