Admin Assistant TimePlan Education are working with a number of schools across London who are recruiting for experience School Administrators/Receptionist to start in September. The Role Although each school may differ slightly, the general purpose of the School Office Administrator/Receptionist is to support the Office Manager, support the office, support logistics for events such as school photographs and exams etc, support the receptionist through busy periods of the day, amongst other duties. Roles are available on a long-term and temp - perm basis, and cover all of London. Preferably you will be available full time and for the full academic year. On the whole, duties will include, but not be limited to the following: Politely greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the Academy/School Answer the phone promptly and politely Book meetings and rooms Arrange couriers Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. school prospectus, newsletters etc.) Provide basic and accurate information in-person, via the phone and by email Receive, sort and distribute the post and other deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges) etc Perform other clerical duties such as filing, calendar entries, photocopying, transcribing and emailing Send relevant texts/ email via ParentMail Attend relevant staff meetings and relevant training Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the post as directed by the line manager Uphold the Academy's/School's disciplinary rules and staff code of conduct Follow the Academy's/School's health and safety requirements Attend first aid training and provide first aid when required Having experience of using school databases (i.e SIMS/BROMCOM) will be preferable.
