Brighton's most exciting new venue is evolving on Level 3 of Novotel Brighton Beach. We are excited to bring you on our journey, launching an expansive experience including multiple bars, food offerings, beach club and cabanas overlooking beautiful Brighton Beach.
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is a premium 4.5-star resort style hotel set atop the beautiful, white sandy beaches of Brighton-Le-Sands and Sydney's picturesque Botany Bay. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and is on track to be one of the best food & beverage, accommodation & event venues in NSW.
About the Role:
We are currently hiring chefs of all levels, who will play a crucial part in our kitchen's success, contributing to the creation of delectable dishes that delight our guests. If you are passionate about the art of cooking and are eager to work in a dynamic and creative culinary environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Casual/Commis/Demi Chefs
Assist in the preparation and production of various dishes.
Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Assist in the receiving and storage of food and supplies.
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and oversee food preparation
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-energy work environment.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory, order supplies and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Assist with menu development and special event planning
About You:
Culinary degree or relevant culinary training is preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel is an advantage.
A passion for culinary arts and creativity in the kitchen.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Evening and weekend availability required
