The aim is to support people to improve their wellbeing through meaningful activity and employment. The current pilot runs until March 2026 and is being closely evaluated to demonstrate its effectiveness. Subject to the outcome of this evaluation and confirmation of future funding, the ambition is for the Employment Adviser Service to become a permanent part of the Talking Therapies model in Greater Manchester. The Employment Adviser will be part of the Greater Manchester Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) service, which supports people with common mental health problems by providing psychological therapies.
