Hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 12.25pm Friday Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School are recruiting two Pupil Support Workers to complement the existing team, on fixed term contracts from August 2025 to August 2026. Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the communities of Pumpherston and Uphall Station. It is part of the Broxburn Academy School cluster. The school roll is 230 with pupils being organised into eight classes (P1-7) and a 32/32 nursery. The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, a Principal Teacher and an acting Principal Teacher. In addition to eight class teachers, there are four pupil support workers, a support for learning teacher, non-class contact teachers and a Nurture teacher. The school office is staffed by an Administrative Assistant and a Clerical Assistant. Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is well supported by the Parent Partners and the wider parent forum. The Parent Partners work in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007.
