Overview: An established and reputable law firm based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution.
2. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients who have suffered due to medical errors or omissions.
3. Conduct in-depth legal research and build strong cases by liaising with medical professionals and experts.
4. Draft legal documents, including claims, court applications, and settlement agreements.
5. Attend client meetings, medical assessments, and court hearings when required.
6. Demonstrate excellent client care by maintaining clear, regular communication throughout the case.
7. Collaborate with colleagues in the department and wider firm to provide the best possible outcome for clients.
8. Maintain high standards of legal knowledge and keep up to date with relevant case law and legislative developments.
Key Requirements:
9. A qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in Clinical Negligence law.
10. Proven ability to manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
11. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and medical issues in a straightforward manner.
12. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
13. A proactive and dedicated approach to case management, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
14. Experience of handling high-value and complex clinical negligence claims.
15. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying abreast of legal and medical trends.
Desirable Skills:
16. Experience working with high-net-worth clients and multi-party litigation.
17. A specialist clinical negligence qualification would be advantageous.
