JOB TITLE:Product Designer(UX/UI) - 12 Month FTC

SALARY:£61,344 - £68,160

LOCATION:Bristol

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing

This role iswithin ateam ofdesigners,researchers, contentspecialistsand dataanalysts,working together todesign anddeliver highquality,user-centred mobileexperiences.This is amobilefirstproject, with someresponsibilityforsupporting web&browserjourneys.


As aProductDesigner,it’llbe your role to:

1. Deliverhigh qualityvisual andinteraction designacross the mobileapp

2. Skilfully craft the end-to-end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by stepthrough wireframing,journeymapping,prototyping,anddelivery-readyscreens

3. Balance business requirements with user needs –you'llwork with user researchers to gather evidence & rationale to align stakeholders on individual user needs.You’llknow when to diplomatically push back, if necessary, to act on what’s right for the customer

4. Bring designs to life atdifferent levelsof fidelity through prototyping software (primarily Figma)

5. Work confidentlywithin anestablishedcentral designsystem,creativelyusing components to figure out the right balance of content and UI (User Interface) elements on screen

6. Be adaptable to the technical constraints of different platforms yet still be able to give guidance on creating the best possible end user experience

7. Deliverfinaliseddesignson Figmaannotatedandreadyfordevelopment,andworkclosely withdevelopers andengineers to build and launchexperienceslivein the app

8. Continually iterate & improvedesignsandexperiencesbased onregular performancedata andfeedbackfrom customersusing the app

9. Advocate customer inclusion – what it means to make an inclusive and accessible design to be used by customers of a wide range of ages,backgroundsand technical abilities

What we’re looking for?

We’relooking for someone who can work collaboratively alongside a full product, design & engineering team and take full ownership of their design output.They’llbe confident when presenting their work to stakeholders, and able to adapt designs to reflect their feedback and feedback from user research and usability testing.

10. Demonstrable experienceacross bothUserExperience (UX)and VisualDesign

11. Provendigitaldesign experience(preferablymobile appdesign experience)

12. StrongFigma skills

13. Excellent prototyping skillsfor digital experiencesin bothlow andhigh fidelity,whichcan beunderstood clearly byinternal customers and development teams

14. Comfortable using existing design systems, proactively recommending new ways to improve and extend them tobenefitboth the project and other designers

15. Ability to interpretdata and insights fromquantitativeand qualitative research, and how this informs the design process

16. Familiarity working in a complex landscape – ideally,you’llhave experience in financial servicesor a similarcomplex industry

17. A collaborative mindset to work closely and quickly with a multi-disciplinary team

18. Strong ability to see designs through to delivery – communicating with developers to ensure designs meet specifications and can be used by a broad range of users of all backgrounds,agesand abilities

19. Strong advocacy of customer inclusivity and accessibility
