Overview
Applications are invited for a fixed term, part-time post (20% FTE) in the Public Health Collaborating Unit, School of Health Sciences, Bangor University (Wrexham Technology Park, Wrexham).
Responsibilities
* Provide research support to a project exploring public perceptions and experience of Section 1 stop and search in Wales.
* Collaborate with police across Wales to build an evidence base on public perceptions, attitudes towards stop and search practices, and trust in the police.
* Contribute to study development, data collection, management, analysis, and report and paper writing.
Qualifications and Skills
* Masters level in a health-related subject.
* Experience in applied public health research.
* Knowledge of public health and research methods, with excellent written communication skills.
* Proficiency in qualitative data collection and analysis, and use of research software.
Details
The successful applicant is expected to commence on 1 October 2025. The post is available until 31 March 2027. This role will be located on campus at Wrexham.
Through the Dynamic Working framework, there will be an option to spend some time working remotely (while remaining in the UK) to support work-life balance; this will be discussed further at interview.
