Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical expert with leadership qualities to lead a team of Nurse/ODP practitioners as a Band 6.

Preferred candidates should possess clinical expertise within theatres of at least 5 years and be dual trained in scrub/anaesthetics skills.

The service seeks a practitioner who prioritizes high-quality, person-centered care within the theatre environment.

Key responsibilities include care planning, teamwork, clinical leadership, communication, policy and procedure implementation, and education/mentorship of staff and students.

This post supports 24/7 service delivery within the North Sector theatres, requiring a flexible skill set.

You will lead a fast-paced theatre, managing patient care and staff to support flexible service delivery. Collaboration with the Senior Charge Nurse to meet departmental targets is essential.

The role involves working flexible shifts, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and out-of-hours emergency hub cover.

It is essential to demonstrate continual professional development, IT skills, good communication skills, and enthusiasm for working in a theatre setting.

Details on contacting the Recruitment Service are available within the Candidate Information Packs.
