Job Title: Project Manager / Contract Administrator
Location: Wakefield
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
I’m currently supporting a well-established consultancy within the built environment sector that is looking to appoint a Project Manager / Contract Administrator to join their growing team.
With a strong pipeline of secured work over the coming years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and professional environment delivering projects across the UK.
This role will suit someone who enjoys managing projects from early-stage planning through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors across a range of construction, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing projects from initial client brief through to delivery
* Developing project programmes and coordinating key project information
* Appointing and managing external consultants, including reviewing fee proposals and monitoring performance
* Leading and coordinating design teams through planning and tender stages
* Preparing and administering JCT contracts (Design & Build, Intermediate and Minor Works)
* Acting as Contract Administrator / Employer’s Agent where required
* Chairing and documenting project meetings (both in person and remotely)
* Liaising with contractors and third parties to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitoring progress on site, including quality, cost, and programme
* Carrying out site visits and reporting progress back to clients
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Project Manager or Contract Administrator role within construction
* Good working knowledge of Building Regulations
* Experience administering JCT contracts
* Understanding of CDM Regulations
* Proficiency in AutoCAD
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
* Full UK driving licence
