Your Responsibilities as an HGV Mechanic
You will be responsible for maintaining heavy goods vehicles to a high standard. This ensures the fleet stays safe and operational for our clients in Grantham.
* Carry out major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles.
* Perform routine inspection and general preventive maintenance.
* Diagnose faults and plan repairs alongside the workshop team.
* Provide breakdown and repair services to clients on the road when needed.
* Maintain accurate records and paperwork, including processing warranty claims.
* Manage workshop inventory and keep the work area clean.
Role Requirements
To be successful as this Technician in this HGV position, you must have:
* A Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
* Proven experience working on HGVs.
* The ability to identify faulty components according to DVSA Standards.
* A current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
