Exciting Opportunity for a Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist in CAMHS & NDS - NHS Lanarkshire
Are you an experienced pharmacist with a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people? NHS Lanarkshire is seeking two Prescribing Clinical Pharmacists to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) & Neurodevelopmental Services (NDS) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of a specialised clinical pharmacy service in a forward-thinking environment.
About the Role:
NHS Lanarkshire CAMHS & NDS have undergone significant service redesign, including the introduction of advanced clinical pharmacists. This role supports and develops the pharmacy service by providing safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmaceutical care to children and young people up to 18 years old. Your work will include managing clinical areas like ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and depression, leading prescribing clinics, monitoring treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Two full-time posts (37 hours) are available: one in CAMHS North Locality Teams (Coathill Hospital, Coatbridge and Airbles Road Centre, Motherwell) and one in CAMHS South Locality Teams (Udston Hospital, Hamilton). Support to NDS across Lanarkshire may be required in the future. A driving license and willingness to travel are essential. Currently, there is no on-call or weekend work requirement, but this may change.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provision of outpatient clinics: prescribing, monitoring, and reviewing medications for young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
2. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
3. Support clinical governance, quality improvement, audit, research, and service evaluation to develop the pharmacy service.
4. Provide education and training for pharmacy students and multidisciplinary staff to support clinical pharmacy in CAMHS & NDS.

Requirements:
* Masters of Pharmacy Degree
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Independent prescribing qualification or working towards it
* Post-registration clinical pharmacy experience
* Ability to monitor therapeutic regimens effectively
* Teamwork skills
* Commitment to revalidation
* Good communication skills
* Self-motivation
* Participation in weekends and public holiday services
* Willingness to contribute to pharmacy department operations
Note: Full UK/EU/EEA driving license required where applicable.

Contract Details:
Permanent, full-time (37 hours), working Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00.
Location and Travel:
Based at Coathill Hospital, Coatbridge, Airbles Road Centre, Motherwell, or Udston Hospital, Hamilton, with travel across Lanarkshire expected.
