Legal & General manages retirement benefits for around 700,000 institutional customers and has been operating in the UK market since 1987. Our Institutional Retirement division offers pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit (DB) schemes, along with reinsurance solutions from Bermuda. Job Description
Do you have experience with Defined Benefit Pension schemes? Are you seeking a senior role in a dynamic team? Join us as a Senior Operational Support Consultant. You will maintain scheme data, administer member records, handle customer claims, support complex benefit structures, and provide technical expertise for ongoing and new schemes.
This is a hybrid role, allowing flexible work between our Glasgow office and your home.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing administration and claims services to scheme members, Trustees, and intermediaries
* Calculating quotations for Defined Benefits from various schemes
* Designing and issuing tailored communications
* Ensuring accurate benefit calculations through quality checks
* Serving as an SME and technical expert
* Designing training focused on fair treatment and customer outcomes
* Supporting activities like valuations, data updates, and transfers
* Managing the onboarding process for new DB pension schemes
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with experience or knowledge of DB pension scheme administration, preferably with a relevant qualification (e.g., CII/PMI). Understanding of benefit structures, strong customer focus, relationship management skills, ability to manage deadlines, proactive issue resolution, and familiarity with GDPR and related guidelines are essential.
