Amble and Broomhill are looking for a Salaried GP to work part time or full time and join our practice across both Amble and Broomhill sites.
We are a teaching practice that develops future workforce, medical students, nursing students, and continues staff development. We encourage candidates with teaching interest and those exploring special interests.
We have regular team meetings and a family atmosphere promoting inclusive, open, and positive work culture.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 7th January 2026 from midday, face‑to‑face at Broomhill Surgery.

Main Duties of the Job
As a GP—part of Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC)—you will operate the surgery with flexibility and independence, backed by management support to focus on clinical priorities.
You will be a key clinician, providing primary medical services and managing a wide range of health needs. A job plan will align you with the team's clinical goals.

Job Responsibilities
Develop the workforce: GP registrars, medical students, nursing students, and ongoing staff development.
Work with a multidisciplinary practice team to provide general medical services for the practice population and contribute to the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Manage a busy caseload and a wide range of health needs in primary care.
Contribute to operational and strategic management of practices within NPC and pursue personal and professional development across primary and secondary care.

Essential Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP / nMRCGP)
* Membership of a recognised defence union (MPS/MDU)
* On a performers list and never removed for detrimental reasons
Desirable Qualifications
* DRCOG
* DFFP/FFFP
* DCH
Essential Experience
* Clinical training and experience as a General Practitioner
* Evidence of recent self‑directed learning or development
* Experience in a wide variety of clinical settings
* Experience with primary care IT systems
* Commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate staff of other professions

* Demonstrable evidence of lifelong learning
