Location: Wellingborough – Northampton (NN8)

Salary: Up to £28,650.00 per annum + £46.01 per sleep-in

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, doubles, and sleep-ins

🛠️ What the Role Involves

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role in the home. You’ll be responsible for:

1. Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
2. Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
3. Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
4. Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
5. Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
6. Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding

🏡 About Poppy House

Poppy House is a solo-bed residential home based in Northampton (NN8), offering a safe and structured environment for a young person with complex needs. The home provides a calm, supportive setting where staff can make a real difference every day.

The young person currently placed at Poppy House enjoys a mix of activities that bring variety and engagement to daily life, including:

🐴 Animal care and farm school

🎮 Video gaming

🎥 Watching films and TV series

🎵 Listening to music

🌳 Outdoor walks and nature activities

🎁 What We Offer

7. 3 weeks of paid induction training
8. Funded Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
9. Structured career progression into management roles
10. £1,400 annual attendance bonus + sleep-in payments (£44.56 per shift)
11. 28 days annual leave (increasing with service)

📌 Important Information

16. We do not offer sponsorship or support with right to work
17. All applicants must have their own right to work in the UK, permitting them to work 40 hours per week
18. All successful candidates will undergo pre-employment safer recruitment checks in line with Ofsted and Homes2Inspire policies
