Mechanical Project Engineer – London – 50K
Location: Inside M25 (1 day per week in Kent office)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Van or Car Allowance + Benefits
Company Overview
My clients Projects Division, led by an experienced and growing team, is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support continued expansion. You’ll be joining a busy department under the guidance of Senior Project Manager, working across a range of mechanical services projects including boilers, pumps, pipework and AC equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to step off the tools into a project role, or for an existing Project Engineer seeking a new challenge with strong career support.
The Role
As Mechanical Project Engineer, you will assist in delivering lower-value mechanical contracts ranging from £30k–£50k. You will provide vital support to the projects team, helping to manage a growing pipeline of tenders and live works.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out site surveys and prepare quotes
Review and assess quotations from subcontractors
Conduct site visits and assist in managing projects under senior guidance
Support with project administration, coordination and delivery
Ensure works are delivered safely on time and to specification
About You
The client is open to a range of backgrounds, including:
Mechanical / HVAC engineers coming off the tools and looking to move into project engineering
Current Project Engineers seeking a supportive environment and varied workload. They are looking for a developing or mid-level Project Engineer who is comfortable working under senior guidance.
Requirements:
Mechanical background (boilers, pumps, pipework, AC equipment or similar)
Willingness to travel within the M25 region
Ability to work from the Kent office one day per week
Strong organisational and communication skills
