Job Description:
A leading US law firm is seeking an Associate with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join its growing IP/IT and Commercial Transactions team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, and cross-border matters across a variety of industries, including advanced technologies, luxury goods, and the broader corporate sector.
Key Requirements:
* 3–5 years’ PQE in a transactional IP/IT practice at a leading firm (magic circle, silver circle, US firm, or specialist boutique).
* Expertise in transactional IP and technology matters, including commercial contracts and IP licensing.
* Experience advising on AI and emerging technologies, including AI regulation and compliance.
* Data protection expertise, particularly GDPR and UK DPA matters.
* Strong academic background.
* Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of commercial awareness.
* Willingness to mentor junior team members and take on a leadership role.
* Excellent client-facing skills and a collaborative approach.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join a highly integrated UK, EU, and US team, working on some of the most novel and complex international transactions in the market. Key areas of focus include:
* High-value corporate and commercial transactions across a range of sectors.
* Cutting-edge work in artificial intelligence, including regulatory compliance, product development, and AI-related agreements.
* Data commercialisation and regulation, advising on GDPR and other emerging legal frameworks.
* Opportunities to travel and engage in cross-border matters.
* Supervising trainees and newly qualified associates.
