You’ll be part of a supportive team of six, working closely with an experienced Finance Director who ismitted to mentorship and professional development.
Your new role
As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting month end close and ensuring financial accuracy across a range of accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part‑qualified or planning to begin their professional studies (ACCA, CIMA or similar), and who is eager to advance their skills within a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and posting of journals as part of the month end close process
2. Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting packs
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
4. Work across accounts payable and accounts receivable, helping to clear aged items and streamline processes
5. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and general ledger maintenance
6. Support internal and external audit requirements
7. Contribute to process improvements and strengthen financial controls
8. Collaborate with global finance colleagues to ensure the consistency and integrity of financial data
What you'll need to succeed
9. Experience in a finance support role covering AP, AR, or month end responsibilities
10. Ideally part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or motivated to begin professional studies
11. Strong Excel skills and good understanding of core accounting principles
12. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar advantageous)
13. Confident with reconciliations, variance analysis, and transactional finance activities
14. Proactive, eager to learn, andfortable working within a small, collaborative team
