Job Description
Reed is working with a well-established firm based in Warwickshire, with multiple offices. Who are looking to establish a new court of protection team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications, statutory wills, and deprivation of liberty cases.
* Represent clients in proceedings concerning health and welfare decisions.
* Liaise with clients, families, medical professionals, and other stakeholders.
* Provide clear, empathetic legal advice and maintain high standards of client care.
* Keep up to date with developments in mental capacity law and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years PQE.
* Proven experience in Court of Protection work, particularly health and welfare matters.
* Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and related legislation.
* Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* A compassionate and client-focused approach.
