The Department of Defence Medical Services is seeking a Senior Mental Health Social Worker to work at RAF Brize Norton, supporting a designated Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities
* Provide effective Mental Health Social Work (MHSW) in support of a designated Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH) and wider Defence Mental Health Services.
* Contribute to the development of service delivery and suggest initiatives.
* Manage patient caseloads according to DCMH allocation processes as directed by the clinical team lead/manager.
* Provide direct delivery advice and support for safeguarding issues.
* Undertake additional clinical/management tasks appropriate to the grade in discussion with line manager/lead.
Qualifications
* Appropriately qualified and experienced Mental Health Social Work professional.
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW).
* Willingness to train in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation: Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Care Act, etc.
* Experience in risk assessment and mental state within mental health services.
* Registered with SWE, SSSC, SCW or NISCC.
* Successful completion of BPSS security check.
* Evidence of Hepatitis B serology levels.
