Job Title: Senior Assistant Psychologist Department: Day Therapy Salary: up to £ 31,000 per annum, depending on experience Working hours: 37.5 hours About Nightingale Hospital Nightingale Hospital is the only private mental health hospital in Central London with over 30 years of experience in delivering specialised evidence-based treatments in outpatient, day patient and inpatient settings. About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Day Therapy Services team. In this role you will support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users by delivering psychological assessments, group therapy and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and the Day Therapy Lead. You will play a key part in the effective running of the Day Therapy programme supporting clinical administration, conducting audits, collecting service data, contributing to research or service development projects and assisting with teaching and wider project work. Who were looking for A motivated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist with experience supporting patients in a clinical mental health setting Someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Highly organised, able to manage referrals, coordinate patient pathways and maintain accurate documentation A flexible proactive individual committed to high-quality care and continuous professional development Above all someone dedicated to empowering and supporting patients throughout their therapeutic journey Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate day therapy referrals, enquiries and patient pathways Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure systems (Care Cloud, My Care etc.) are up to date Conduct patient assessments including risk assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions under supervision Support the delivery and coordination of the Day Therapy programme and group sessions Liaise with Consultant Psychiatrists and the multidisciplinary team regarding patient progress Assist with insurance, billing coordination and general clinical administration Contribute to clinical meetings, supervision, audits, service development and research projects Provide departmental support during staff leave and participate in daily service operations Requirements Essential: Psychology degree and experience in a mental health or therapeutic setting Ability to conduct assessments, support interventions and manage clinical documentation Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills Understanding of risk assessment and evidence-based psychological approaches Competence in using clinical/administrative systems and contributing to audits or service development Desirable: Experience facilitating group therapy Previous work in inpatient/day therapy or private healthcare settings Evidence of continued professional development and interest in service improvement Company Benefits Competitive salaries an additional London allowance of £4,000 per annum added to all permanent posts (pro-rata for part-time roles) Negotiable relocation allowance 25 days annual leave pro-rata (increasing up to 30 with long service) plus bank holidays Employee Referral Program Generous pension scheme via the government auto-enrolment scheme with eligibility to join the company group pension scheme Interest-free season ticket loan Discretionary annual bonus and salary review schemes Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Pay Enhanced company sick pay Free eyecare and contributions towards glasses for DSE users Life Assurance (Death in Service) cover Professional membership fees contribution Opportunities for continued professional development (CPD) Heavily subsidised staff meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner with freshly sourced ingredients Subject to T&Cs
