Role Overview We are working with a client that are seeking an ambitious and driven Recruitment Consultant to join their specialist Food Processing division. This is a fast-paced 360° recruitment role, focused on supplying high-quality candidates into the food manufacturing, processing, and production sectors. A key element of this role involves working within GLAA (Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority) compliance, ensuring that all recruitment activity upholds the highest standards of worker welfare, legal requirements, and ethical labour supply practices. Key Responsibilities Manage a 360 recruitment desk specialising in food processing and production roles. Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Proactively develop business opportunities through sales calls, client visits, and networking. Source, screen, and interview candidates for temporary, contract, and permanent positions. Advertise vacancies across multiple platforms and manage responses effectively. Match candidates to suitable roles, ensuring GLAA and client compliance at all times. Carry out right-to-work checks, worker registrations, inductions, and audits in line with GLAA standards. Monitor worker performance, availability, and welfare (including food safety, hygiene, and ethical recruitment practices). Manage bookings and shift allocations for temporary workers, ensuring full coverage for clients. Maintain accurate records and adhere to the Working Time Directive, GLAA requirements, and industry-specific legislation. Achieve and exceed agreed KPIs, sales, and revenue targets. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in recruitment (ideally within food processing, FMCG, industrial, or manufacturing sectors). Strong knowledge of GLAA regulations, compliance audits, and ethical recruitment standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong business development track record, winning new accounts and growing revenue. Organised with the ability to manage multiple client and candidate requirements simultaneously. Proactive, target-driven, and resilient under pressure. Additional languages (e.g. Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Bulgarian) are highly desirable due to workforce demographics.
