Administrator – Temporary Contract - Duration: December 2026
Location: Newbridge, Edinburgh
Type: Full-time, Office-based
Contract: Temporary (until approximately December 2026)
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, standard office hours

We are currently working with a well-established construction business based in Newbridge, Edinburgh, who are seeking an experienced Administrator to join their busy head office on a temporary basis. This is a full-time, office-based role with an immediate start available and will run until approximately December 2026. Please note that this role is not expected to become permanent, although the end date may shift slightly depending on business needs.

This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who can hit the ground running. Due to the nature of the position, the role cannot be performed remotely and will require on-site presence to support front-of-house duties, including reception and main switchboard cover.

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll provide administrative support across a wide range of business-critical functions, including but not limited to:

Preparing and maintaining reports such as Health & Safety presentations, HSE reports, and Premier inspection stats

Managing training matrices, arranging training, tracking compliance, and liaising with departments and HR

Overseeing document management including certificates, handover files, and submissions to Building Control

Monitoring commercial inboxes, tracking invoices and approvals

Supporting fleet management, fuel card tracking, and insurance updates

Maintaining key trackers for inspections, development contacts, build updates, and smart waste reporting

General administrative support across multiple departments and functions

About You:

Proven experience in a similar fast-paced administrative role

Able to manage a high-volume workload with excellent attention to detail

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office; experience with industry-specific systems (e.g., Coins, Dochosting) would be advantageous

Confident communicator who can work independently and take initiative

Reliable and professional with a strong sense of ownership over responsibilities
