The Role: Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS
* Observe and assess children's development, report progress to senior staff and parents
* Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
* Work collaboratively with a team of early years professionals to support each child's development and wellbeing
* Support children aged 0-7 to learn, play, and grow through engaging activities
* Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures
The ideal candidate:
* Hold Level 3 trained Teaching - CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Education or as a Teaching Assistant (minimum L2 Early Years Practitioner with evidence/reference from placements)
* Proven experience in an EYFS setting, ideally in a reception class
* Knowledgeable about current best practices in early years education, including outdoor learning and child-led inquiry
* A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
* Comfortable with personal care aspects of working with young children
