Environmental Engineer – Contract Location: Bristol / Yeovil (4 days onsite, 1 day remote – flexibility available) Rate: £65.00 per hour (Umbrella) Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC Clearance We are looking for an Environmental Engineer (Level 2/3) to support major aerospace and defence programmes within a highly regulated engineering environment. This role will focus on ensuring environmental compliance, supporting sustainability initiatives, and managing environmental risks across engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Support the integration of environmental management requirements into product and system design. Assist in developing and implementing environmental management strategies for projects and programmes. Produce environmental documentation such as Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Case Reports, and Hazardous Materials Reports. Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation and standards (e.g. UK REACH, ISO 14001, Defence Standards). Support supplier engagement, environmental audits, and corrective actions where required. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure environmental requirements are met across the full product lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. Experience in environmental engineering/management, ideally within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries. Knowledge of environmental legislation and standards such as ISO 14001 or UK REACH. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
