School Administrator / Receptionist – Coventry – Immediate Start (2025)
Are you an experienced School Administrator or Receptionist looking for a new role in September?
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to support a school in the Coventry area. This is a long-term role, starting immediately, with working hours from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. There may also be the possibility of a permanent contract within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide front-of-house reception duties, including welcoming visitors, answering calls, and managing enquiries in a professional manner.
Manage general clerical and administrative duties to support the smooth running of the school office.
Maintain pupil records and data accurately using SIMS or similar systems.
Support safeguarding processes by ensuring visitors are signed in and ID checked.
Organise and prioritise workload effectively while adapting to changing demands.
Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Deliver excellent communication and customer service to staff, parents, pupils, and external visitors.
Use ICT systems confidently, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Assist with first aid duties (training can be provided if required).
Previous experience in a school office environment is essential.
Knowledge of BROMCOMor similar is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Strong administrative background with high attention to detail.
Proactive, flexible, and approachable with a professional ‘can-do’ attitude.
A friendly, welcoming manner with the ability to build positive relationships.
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service (we can assist with this if needed).
