Specialty Registrar Paediatrics

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Princess Alexandra Hospital. We are looking for a Trust Middle Grade doctor (ST3–ST5) to complement our existing rota, including contribution to the on‑call rota. The candidate will provide care across various clinical areas: Paediatric Emergency Department, Same‑day emergency care, Dolphin Paediatric ward, Neonatal Unit, Postnatal ward and Outpatients department. They will have access to consultant support at all times.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the post include the day‑to‑day management of sick children, infants, and neonates, assisted by nursing staff and senior house officers under the direct supervision of Consultant Paediatricians.

* Cover the middle‑grade rota for Dolphin ward/ Paediatric A&E, NICU/ Postnatal wards and Out‑patient clinics (supervised).
* Work a mixture of normal days, long days and nights on a rolling rota basis.
* Ensure timely patient review and discharge with appropriate senior support.
* Contribute to the Department’s active Audit and Governance programme by undertaking and presenting projects.
Qualifications
* GMC registration
* Higher degree (PhD or Master)
Experience
* Clinical training and experience in Paediatrics.
* Experience presenting and completing audits.
* Published audits.
