Senior Charge Nurse

Campbeltown Community Hospital, located in Kintyre, is looking for a full‑time Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) to lead patient care within its Accident and Emergency Department.

The A&E sees an average of 15 presentations per day and the ward contains 15 beds.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the ward, A&E department, a small haemodialysis unit, day‑case treatment and outpatient clinics to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Coordinate patient care, manage daily operations and optimise resources to create an efficient, compassionate, and supportive environment.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing and allied health staff.
• Maintain excellent clinical governance and promote continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Kintyre is a beautiful, windswept peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, offering stunning beaches, countryside, and easy access to the nearby islands of Islay, Gigha, Arran and Jura. Campbeltown is a three‑hour drive from mainland Scotland and has a small airport with daily flights to Glasgow.
