Overview
During your internship, you'll be integrated into two key teams: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Wing Digitalization. This structure offers a wide variety of experiences across multiple projects and stages of the project lifecycle, covering the full range of Airbus commercial products. As a member of the wing FEA team, you will deliver key analysis results for various aircraft programs and take ownership of your deliverables from initial task definition to final delivery. This includes using pre/post-processing tools like Altair Hyperworks and developing coding skills through automation activities. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and build a network across Analysis, Program, Chief Engineering, and Airworthiness teams.
Responsibilities
* Deliver key analysis results for various aircraft programs as part of the wing FEA team.
* Own deliverables from initial task definition to final delivery.
* Utilize pre/post-processing tools such as Altair Hyperworks.
* Develop coding and automation skills to improve analysis workflows.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support wing design and digitalization efforts.
Qualifications
* Studying towards a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Positive and proactive attitude towards work.
* Good problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
* Willingness to propose new ideas to solve problems.
* Programming and optimization skills would be beneficial.
* Experience with languages and exposure to a wide range of cultures is beneficial.
* Ability to collaborate well within a team.
Security & Compliance
You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role. Location & Team
Join the Wing Architecture and Integration team, located primarily in Filton, UK, with a transnational footprint across the UK, France, and Germany. The team designs wings for all Airbus commercial aircraft and engages in R&D for new configurations to enable more efficient and environmentally sustainable aviation.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: £23,400 per year • 35 hours per week • Flexible working hours • Hybrid working • Half-day Fridays • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
