Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Loughton, Essex
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Starting November 2025
Pay: From £13.69 per hour

Are you a dedicated Learning Support Assistant seeking a fulfilling role in a supportive and dynamic setting? Join our special school in Loughton, Essex, where we provide essential support for children aged 3-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties, including those on the Autism Spectrum. Conveniently located near the Central Line, our school is committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for students with severe ASD, PMLD, ADHD, and additional complex needs. Our facilities are fully equipped to support students who require wheelchairs, hoisting, and personal care assistance.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised support to students with complex needs, including ASD, SLD, PMLD, and those exhibiting challenging behaviours
* Provide personal care, including wheelchair assistance and hoisting
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to enhance student outcomes
Requirements
* Experience with students with severe and profound learning difficulties
* Familiarity with ASD, PMLD, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs
* Skill in managing challenging behaviour with patience and empathy
* Must be willing to do personal care
