Your specialist area could be mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering or related fields. You should also have the ability to deliver practical sessions in Fabrication and Welding up to level 3. You will be able to teach a range of professional engineering units. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential Criteria: Degree level relevant to the subject area. Relevant vocational experience in Civil Engineering. Recent experience of teaching and assessing on professional construction courses A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to complete Knowledge and understanding of professional construction provision. Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning, development & delivery in professional construction Excellent computer literacy Engaged in Continuing Professional Development Minimum of Level 3 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete High level of communication and interpersonal skills Ability to set high standards for students, colleagues and for themselves Familiar with BIM/Revit Desirable Criteria: Experience of resource based learning Membership of a relevant professional Experience of assessing students’ needs and planning curriculum for their benefit including Technology Enhanced Learning Good understanding of curriculum development to meet the training needs of employers Good understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes Benefits We really care about our people.
