The Role
This is a key client-facing role, operating on a sole basis, with full responsibility for guest communication and the management of guest facilities, as well as supporting the Marketing Team in the delivery of on-site as well as off-site events. As the first point of contact, you will provide a consistently professional, efficient and welcoming service, ensuring a positive experience at all times. The role requires you to work independently and take full ownership of day-to-day operations.
This varied and busy role offers exposure to the full range of Chambers' business support functions. You will work closely with barristers, practice teams, and colleagues across marketing and business support, contributing to the smooth and professional running of 39 Essex Chambers.
The Person
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong customer service skills who is looking to build a career within corporate or professional services. The role would particularly suit someone keen to gain hands‑on experience within the legal sector, or an individual seeking to develop their experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement or event coordination. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.
