Our Offer Capgemini Engineering are recruiting for a manufacturing engineer to undertake a role within the Aerospace sector, based at one of our prestigious client's sites various locations in the UK. Your Role The candidate will require the skillset of a Manufacturing Engineer to support the client team in sourcing and working with suppliers to reduce incoming non-conformance. Long Description Key responsibilities include: Providing technical support to non-conformance reduction teams to deliver against client KPIs Analysis and categorisation of non-conformance data using statistical data analysis. Undertaking root cause problem solving activities, leading to the successful implementation of corrective actions Working with new and existing suppliers to resolve technical issues via manufacturing process changes, Deviation Permit or DAR Primary point of contact for client supply chain and able to offer technical advice on manufacturing processes and quality improvements Generate or amend quality specifications across range of products Applying Applying experience in manufacturing, materials, labs and Management & Production Systems to problems at hand Long Description Proactive approach and the ability to work under your own initiative and with a range of subject matter experts Understanding of different types of dimensional and non-dimensional non-conformance. Lean / Six Sigma experience - Green belt preferred. Ability to collect and analyse data from a variety of different sources. Interpretation of drawings, technical specifications, and product control documentation. Knowledge and application of FAIR, LAIR and FPA processes. Passion to drive change in a challenging environment and the ability to solve complex problems Good understanding of manufacturing processes including, turning, milling, grinding, EDM, welding, shot peening and polishing. Knowledge and application of the concession process Knowledge of systems including SAP, NX, CAPP Short Description Additional Experience and Skills: Experience in leading the development of customer/supplier relationships Use of Minitab and Measurelink Visual inspection techniques DMAIC, 8D, PPAP, PFMEA, DFM, SPC, 6M Control Plans Cause & Effect Analysis - 3Cs, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Gauge R&R, MSA
