Optimum Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a Management Accountant for a leading, fast-paced service provider near York. This is an excellent opportunity to join during a period of growth, supporting the Head of Finance and Finance Director.
The ideal candidate will be recently qualified, with experience in Management Accounts from medium or large companies. They should be quick-minded, inquisitive, and capable of owning the role with commercial flair.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurate reporting of revenues and costs.
2. Production of weekly and monthly flash reports.
3. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-Flow, and overhead analysis.
4. Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts.
5. Identifying cost-saving and revenue-maximizing opportunities.
6. Improving finance procedures and developing systems.
Minimum Requirements:
* Finalist stage or a recent qualification in accounting.
* Strong accounting, commercial, and risk awareness skills.
* Extensive Excel skills, including pivots and lookups.
* Team player with good prioritization and initiative.
* Ability to identify risks and suggest improvements.
