Job Profile
Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building claims solutions and support to a team of Surveyors and Claims Management Team.
Main duties include:
* Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence
* Managing third-party companies for vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage
* Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates
* Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders
* Managing panel contractors, repair schedules, and costs
* Settling claims under delegated authority
* Previous experience in subsidence/building insurance claims, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or graduate building surveyor
* Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
* Computer literacy with strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
* Flexible, self-motivated team player with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
